Q One of my firm’s employees has her own ‘side hustle’ as a social media influencer. Alongside her standard day job with us, she regularly posts lifestyle and “day in the life” content on her platforms.
Recently, some posts appeared to draw on incidents and conversations from our office. Nothing was explicit, but stories about “difficult colleagues”, “toxic management decisions”, or “bizarre HR moments” bore an uncanny resemblance to real events. Colleagues have told me they feel their experiences are being rehashed as entertainment.
