Victoria and Tom Maughan objected to the building of 10 houses and 38 apartments

A bid by a Foxrock couple to have a housing development next to their home quashed by the High Court was “misconceived” and “trivial”, An Coimisiún Pleanála has told the High Court in a new filing.

Tom Maughan, a senior executive with the Irish arm of US investment giant Bain Capital, a major developer of south Dublin apartments, and his wife Victoria, a Pilates teacher, raised concerns about the impact of a proposed new housing development on wild birds and heritage next to their home in the south Dublin suburb.
