Hospitality insolvencies down, in advance of Vat cut to 9pc this summer

Insolvencies in the hospitality sector were down 27pc in the first quarter of the year, as it counts down to a Vat rate cut in the summer.

A total of 24 hospitality businesses collapsed in the first three months of the year, according to figures compiled by Deloitte Ireland. This was down from 33 in the first quarter of last year and compares to 46 in the same period in 2024.
