Cap on passenger growth at Dublin Airport is no help to regional aviation hubs – in fact, it just threatens them

Oscar Wilde said there is only one thing worse than being talked about, and that’s not being talked about.

Well, there’s been no shortage of talk about Ireland’s aviation ecosystem this past year, in particular about Dublin Airport – but the discussion has sometimes been more full of hot air than well informed. Or as DAA boss Kenny Jacobs previously described it, “naive Fr Ted talk”.
