Irish whiskey sales to America declined last year, even before the imposition of US president Donald Trump’s tariffs, which have put a further dent in the market.
According to figures given to the Dáil by Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe, Ireland exported €410m worth of whiskey to the US in 2024. This was down from €420m the previous year.
