Sky Glass 2
Using Sky as your main TV service provider used to be a complicated process, with dishes, cards and other paraphernalia. Then, three years ago, it introduced a much more simplified method: an all-in-one TV set that connected to Sky’s TV services over your home wifi.
The Sky Glass set had some glitches and drawbacks, but huge upsides, too. There was no longer a separate set-top box or extra wires trailing around the place. There was no planning permission-style consideration needed on where to place your outdoor satellite dish, as if you were living in northern Greenland. It just plugged in and worked.
