The Irish media regulator, Coimisiún na Meán, says that Elon Musk’s X has until tomorrow to explain why it isn’t preventing children from watching pornography, or it will face “action”.
In response to questions from the Irish Independent, the watchdog said that after an initial review, it “cannot see any evidence of measures taken to comply with the age assurance requirement” of the new Online Safety Code, which carries fines of up to 10pc of annual turnover.
