For a moment in 2007, Shrewsbury Road in Ballsbridge was the sixth most expensive residential street in the world, a ranking that was artificially inflated by the €56m paid by Sean and Gayle Dunne for No 24, then known as Walford.

Valuations plummeted after the financial crash, and several property developers moved off the road. Sean Dunne sold No 20A, Larry O’Mahony sold No 7, and Paddy Kelly left 15A.
