Makers of cooling systems saw their stocks plunge yesterday after comments by Nvidia’s chief executive raised fears about demand for their products from data centres.
Shares of Trane Technologies, which makes water-chilled cooling equipment and similar systems, tumbled as much as 11pc in the worst intraday drop since 2020. Modine Manufacturing fell as much as 21pc, while Johnson Controls International and Carrier Global also slid.
