Value of Irish exports to US fell by $15bn in October, new figures reveal

Trade deficit drops to €3.2bn as effect of Trump tariffs begins to be felt around the world

Ireland’s trade deficit with the United States shrank dramatically in October due to a steep decline in exports, new figures from the US Commerce Department show.

The value of exports from Ireland fell from $19.9bn (€17.08bn) in September to $4.9bn in October, down $15bn.
