Paramount fails in legal bid over Warner Bros Discovery takeover

Warnes Bros owns HBO whose hit shows include ‘The White Lotus’

A judge in Delaware has rejected Paramount Skydance’s bid to speed up a lawsuit which is aimed at forcing Warner Bros Discovery to explain why it has chosen Netflix’s proposed $82.7bn (€71.2bn) takeover bid. Paramount’s own $108.7bn hostile bid has been turned down.

Vice chancellor Morgan Zurn of the Delaware Chancery Court said Paramount did not suffer “cognisable irreparable harm” from Warner Bros’ alleged inadequate disclosures about its cable-TV business, which is not part of the Netflix bid.
