Members of the European Parliament have backed proposals for a new, cross-border set of rules for company formations.

The idea, supported as part of a push for greater EU competitiveness, aims to allow companies anywhere in the bloc to be registered in a fully digital process in just 48 hours and with paid-in capital of just €1.
