Finance Minister Simon Harris has been advised by his officials to meet with the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) to discuss its plans to build a new cash centre in north Dublin.

CBI’s currency centre in Sandyford sits on a 37-acre campus that has been the home of Ireland’s national mint since 1970. In 2022, the bank decided to sell that site and buy land to develop a new facility.
