‘The halo effect’– New Fiid boss says weight-loss drugs like Ozempic could offer major boost to healthy food brands

Weight-loss drugs such as Ozempic are an opportunity for meal-in-a-pouch brand Fiid, as the nutrient-rich diets recommended to users will have a “halo-effect” for healthy food brands, according to the Irish firm’s new boss.

Food industry veteran Julia Kessler was named chief executive of the plant-based ready meal brand last year, after the founder, Shane Ryan, stood down from the role. He remains a director.
