The acquisition is set to link Eventmaster’s ticketing, membership and event registration software with iDonate’s online donation tools.
The deal will create a single system for charities, sports clubs, community groups and event organisers to manage sign-ups, payments and fundraising in one place, it said.
Eventmaster is led by founder and chief executive John Cleary. The company has expanded in recent years across its ticketing and membership services, with backing from investment company BGF, which invested €4m into the company in 2024.
iDonate, led by Alan Coyne, is one of the better-known names in Irish digital fundraising and works with charities and local groups running online campaigns and donation drives.
Under the terms of the deal, Mr Coyne will stay with the combined business and take charge of fundraising across the group, working alongside Mr Cleary and the existing team, it said.
Eventmaster said the enlarged company will focus on combining the two systems so organisers can handle ticket sales, event entries, memberships and donations through the same platform.

It also plans further product upgrades, including changes to reporting and supporter engagement tools.
BGF is providing additional growth capital alongside the transaction to support the purchase and future expansion, it said.
