One of the UK’s largest fitness club operators has criticised planners after failing to win approval for a huge gym in Swords that it claims would have created over 100 jobs.

David Lloyd Leisure had its planning application for a proposed health and wellness club rejected for the second time in two years recently. Fingal County Council refused the latest planning bid for failing to provide a link road as part of the development.
