The Data Protection Commissioner will tell an Oireachtas committee today there has been a “six-fold increase” in its engagement relating to artificial intelligence (AI) in the last five years.
The chair of the regulator Coimisiún na Meán and executives from tech giant Google are also set to meet with TDs and senators to discuss concerns around deepfakes.
