Kaye Adams will not be returning to the BBC, following an investigation into bullying allegations.

The 63-year-old, who is also a presenter on ITV’s Loose Women, was suspended from her morning programme on BBC Radio Scotland in October.

Ms Adams, who was paid £155,000 a year for her role with the corporation, had been accused of shouting and swearing at colleagues, leaving them humiliated and distressed.

She has denied any wrongdoing and suggested her “assertiveness” in the workplace had been mistaken for bullying.

According to The Times some of the complaints lodged against Ms Adams were upheld and one source told the newspaper: “There is no way back for Kaye now. Her time at BBC Scotland is at an end.”

A BBC spokesperson added: “Kaye Adams will not be returning to this role”.

Ms Adams has received support from some colleagues. Jeff Zycinski, the former head of BBC Radio Scotland, told The Times: “I never once saw Kaye lose her temper.

“She listened patiently to the daftest ideas [from colleagues] and gently steered them into something workable.”
