Altratech CEO Tara Dalton
Cork-based HIV diagnostic kit developer Altratech has raised almost €2.4m in a round led by a Bank of Ireland-linked fund.
The new investment in the business comes weeks after it secured a $441,437 grant from the Gates Foundation – the nonprofit NGO co-founded by billionaires Bill and Melinda Gates – to accelerate the development of an affordable HIV viral load test designed for use in low and middle-income countries.
