Michael O’Leary became Ryanair chief executive in 1994

Brash, outspoken and colourful, Michael O’Leary has over the course of more than three decades at the helm of Ryanair become one of the world’s most recognisable airline bosses. He has steered the carrier from being a small, fledgling upstart to be one of the world’s biggest airlines.
