Logix Aero Ireland, an Irish company that trades aircraft engines, was swindled out of more than $820,000 (€721,000) after a fraudster infiltrated emails regarding a deal with a Thai company from whom Logix Aero had agreed to buy two engines.

The fraudster duped executives at both the Irish firm and Thailand-based Siam Aero Repair by leading them both to believe they were emailing each other about the deal, when in fact the fraudster was orchestrating the emails.
