Energy consultancy Wood Mackenzie is taking space in one of Edinburgh’s historic office buildings.
The company has signed a 15-year lease for 30,000 sq ft at Waverley Gate on North Bridge, which was previously home to the General Post Office.
It is among five lettings totalling 113,000 sq ft and brings occupancy in the newly refurbished 200,000 sq ft building to 95%.
Among other tenants are Amazon, Microsoft, the NHS, Gallagher, the global insurance, risk management provider, and Forrit, the software company.
Property investment firm Kennedy Wilson acquired Waverleygate in 2022 from investment manager PATRIZIA for £78m, excluding closing costs.
It has invested in improving the facilities amid signs of a gradual return to office working. JLL and Cushman & Wakefield advised on the letting.
The building was renovated in 2004, creating an open-plan office space across eight floors and retaining the Grade A listed Italian Renaissance façade.
