Google’s Irish arm and its parent firm have won a landmark case against Russia in the European Court of Human Rights.

Google, including its Irish unit, took a case to Strasbourg complaining that Russian authorities imposed excessive fines – potentially amounting to tens of trillions of euro – to enforce demands for the removal of YouTube content related to war reporting and content from opposition politicians.
