Nexos, an Aberdeen-based provider of engineering, procurement and construction services
to the energy sector, has appointed Scott McGinigal as chief executive with immediate effect.
Mr McGinigal is a chartered process engineer with more than 30 years of industry experience and joins from Spirit Energy, where he led multidisciplinary teams spanning engineering, drilling, operations, and decommissioning projects across offshore and onshore assets.
His career includes senior leadership roles at Total and CNOOC, where he was vice president of major projects.
His appointment at Nexos, formerly known as Global E&C and part of the D2Zero Group, comes as it has expanded into the onshore energy market with the launch of a 300-strong team.
It is delivering a range of energy transition projects, including hydrogen production, carbon capture and storage (CCUS), waste-to-energy, renewables and synthetic fuels.
Mr McGinigal said: “Nexos has a critical role to play in the UK’s energy transition. The company has an impressive track record, a talented team and a clear strategic direction.”
