Ireland could be hit with transatlantic aviation restrictions by the Trump administration because of the cap at Dublin Airport after US transportation secretary Sean Duffy issued a stark warning to European airports.
The airport cap – which restricts Dublin to 32 million passengers a year and curtails expansion by airlines – continues to be a major political headache for the Government and now the Trump administration has indicated it is considering taking action.
