Cheryl Kavanagh’s kitchen table is buried under post-it notes and college brochures. With four children, two already in university and a third preparing to start, the annual September planning has become a familiar ritual, but even with experience, the pressure never really eases.

“For us, education is a long-term investment,” she says. “We want all our children to have the same chance to reach their potential and become financially independent. That’s always been the goal.”
