Applegreen has pledged to invest $750m into a revamp of the plazas as part of the 35-year contract deal it secured with the Massachusetts Department of Transport
A company that lost out to Ireland’s Applegreen for a contract to operate motorway service plazas in Massachusetts, US, has sued the state’s Department of Transport.
Global Partners, which currently operates some of the 18 plazas, claims it couldn’t access certain documents related to the contract tender, leaving it unable to assess properly the department’s bidding process.
