Minister praises innovative tech but adds warning over safety and privacy
Some residents in areas where drone delivery services operate are unhappy with noise pollution
The Government will introduce new fines for drone operators that don’t adhere to noise, privacy and flightpath regulations, according to a new framework document on the future of drones and drone delivery in Ireland.
The fixed charges are among measures to be launched by Transport Minister Darragh O’Brien, who also praised drones as a potentially valuable industry.
