Scottish motor retailer Arnold Clark has added another Chinese brand – Chery – to its dealerships.
Chery, the parent company of Chinese car brands OMODA and JAECOO, is the 34th brand available across its network.
It will have dedicated Arnold Clark showrooms in central Scotland and the north of England which will be open in the coming weeks and initially launch with two SUVs: the TIGGO 7 and TIGGO 8.
Chery has been the largest exporter of vehicles from China for the past 22 years and has
built a strong reputation for their forward-thinking design and cutting-edge technology.
Russell Borrie, chief executive at Arnold Clark, said: “The OMODA and JAECOO brands have already proven extremely popular with our customers, and we’re confident Chery will enjoy the same success.
Gavin McKenzie, group brand director at Arnold Clark, added: “Chery is another strong addition to the Arnold Clark network and one that we’re thrilled to be working with.”
Buccleuch Property has completed the sale of a car showroom investment in Seafield Road East, Edinburgh to Arnold Clark for £2.72m.
Acquired by Buccleuch in 2019, the 20,031 sq ft building sits on a 1.15-acre site and is let to Vertu Motors until November 2033.
