The Taoiseach and Tánaiste have welcomed clarity on the EU-US trade deal, with the US committing to capping tariffs on pharma goods at 15pc.
However, it has been warned that tariffs on Irish alcohol brands such as Guinness and Jameson could add to their price in US bars, with an expert report predicting an increase of $1 (86c) on a glass of whiskey.
