Consumers are facing hundreds of euro in higher health insurance costs as the three main insurers increase the cost of their plans from this week.
The latest hikes for people insured with VHI, Laya Healthcare and Irish Life Health come on top of rises earlier this year, and mean consumers are facing cumulative rises of up to 27pc when they renew.
