A new temperature-controlled cargo flight from Shannon to North Carolina, which is designed to service the life sciences sector in the mid-west, could create hundreds of jobs in the region.

The Boeing 767 service from Shannon to Wilmington is one of two new dedicated freighter flights that will benefit Irish exporters. Last Friday, Turkish Airlines also began operating a new dedicated cargo service from Dublin to Istanbul using a large Airbus A330 freighter aircraft.
