Burger chain to challenge classification of ‘fast-food’ outlet in court

Bunsen is bringing case after being refused application for visa permit for chef de partie candidate

Bunsen argues that it is not a fast-food restaurant

The Bunsen burger chain has been granted permission by the High Court to challenge what it calls a “misclassification” of its business as “fast food”, which led to it being refused an application for a visa permit for a chef de partie.

The challenge has been taken by Ducalla Limited, trading as Bunsen, which has outlets in Dublin, Cork and Belfast, against the Enterprise, Trade and Employment Minister.
