Twenty-five years after opening his first salon, celebrity hairdresser Dylan Bradshaw reflects on his challenges, successes and the iconic looks he’s helped to create
Dylan Bradshaw celebrating 25 years in business
I remember the opening of Dylan Bradshaw’s first salon. At the time, I was editing The Dubliner magazine. We had offices on South William Street in the city centre, and much of my life was lived around there: Wicklow Street, Drury Street, South Great Georges Street. It was a buzzy area, with indie boutiques, fancy new salons, and the start of a lively cafe and restaurant scene. That was 25 years ago.
Even within that dynamic mix, the opening of Dylan Bradshaw was a big deal. “French Vogue Interiors came over and shot the salon… it was mad,” Bradshaw recalls now. “Tom de Paor did it; it was so ahead of its time. We’d no signage, only a little name on the door…”
