Developers have simply pocketed the difference, according to an Analysis Group research report
A research report backed by Apple claims that app prices have not fallen in the EU after the company was pushed by the European Commission into reducing its app fees to developers.
The research, published by The Analysis Group, claims that instead of lowering prices for apps and services in line with lower app fees to Apple, developers pocketed the cash themselves. It also claims that 86pc of the extra money made from the lower fees went to developers outside the EU.
