The Supreme Court has held that a law providing powers to investigating gardaí to direct a suspect to provide passwords for seized electronic devices does not infringe on constitutional rights.

The court’s decision comes following an appeal brought by an associate of jailed solicitor and property developer Michael Lynn, seeking to halt a criminal prosecution brought against him.
