Newly-created ProCap Financial likely to begin trading on Nasdaq today

Bitcoin evangelist Anthony Pompliano and the backers of a newly-created $1bn (€860m) cryptocurrency investment firm, including Irish businessman Gary Quin, are in line for what’s been billed as a “moonshot” compensation package that’s effectively a gamble on where the bitcoin price lands in coming years.
Mr Pompliano is chief executive of the newly-created ProCap Financial vehicle that has been formed following a reversal into Nasdaq-listed special purpose acquisition company (Spac), Columbus Circle Capital. It’s set to begin trading today in New York.
