Microsoft consumer artificial intelligence chief Mustafa Suleyman has said he is bent on creating a super intelligence that is “aligned with human interests” and pledged to halt such work if it posed a threat to people.

“We won’t continue to develop a system that has the potential to run away from us,” Mr Suleyman said in an interview on Bloomberg’s The Mishal Husain Show, adding that such a view should be an obvious, universal sentiment.
