In the wake of Fastway’s collapse, at the busiest time of the year, many firms have not been able to find a new delivery partner

On the Tuesday evening after the October bank holiday, vans pulled up outside warehouses and shops across Ireland as normal, parcels were scanned, loaded and driven away. Minutes later, phones began to buzz.

Fastway Couriers, one of the country’s largest delivery networks, had collapsed.
