Finance Minister scrapped the cap on banker pay last summer

AIB’s Colin Hunt has received two huge pay hikes since Paschal Donohoe scrapped the cap on banker pay last summer, with significantly more to come.
The AIB chief executive’s salary was hiked in August, from the €500,000 a year maximum he could get under the cap, to €795,000. Then at the start of this year, it was boosted again, to €1.35m.
