A new RTÉ documentary exploring the birth of Ryanair as a transformative force in world aviation is to be aired on Monday, with two Waterford siblings recalling the central role their father Christy Ryan played in the airline’s turbulent formation.
Turbulence: The Story of Ryanair explores the personal and inside stories at the heart of Ryanair’s origins, as well as offering expert commentary on its infamous brash, irreverent approach to marketing over the years, and the strategies of CEO Michael O’Leary, which transformed the airline, and air travel in Ireland and across Europe.
