Scroll long enough and I’m sure you’ll find them: “Toxic.” “Narcissist.” “Gaslighting.”

Once terms more likely found only in clinics, they’re now casually appearing with increasing regularity on social media. Your TikTok and Instagram feeds may be filled with advice on how to deal with people who most likely will not ever be formally diagnosed. And, of course, not everyone who posts is a qualified expert. Caveat emptor when doom scrolling.
