Parents of students may lose rent tax credit
The continuation of the rent tax credit available to the parents of third-level students has been thrown into doubt.
Parents who pay rent for their college-going children can claim up to €2,000 in tax credits if they are jointly assessed. The credit can be claimed up to the end of this year.
