Q I have worked for a tech company in Dublin for the last three-and-a-half years. The lease on my rented house has expired, and despite searching for five months, I cannot find an affordable property to rent in Dublin. The nearest option I have seen involves a one-and-a-half-hour commute each way.
I asked my employer if I could work remotely from my hometown in Kerry while I continue my search, but I was told a definite no. I currently work remotely two days a week, and my employer has been happy with my performance.
