Europe must follow US to secure rare earths, Irish mineral exploration bosses say

Western countries including those in Europe should consider emulating a US strategy of investing in rare earth mineral miners around the world in an effort to secure supply as China clamps down on exports, according to Ivan Murphy, the executive chairman of Harena Resources, a company that is advancing a project in Madagascar.

China dominates the global supply of rare earth elements.
